Men are no longer the sole masters of the grill, and you’ll find plenty of women tending lovingly to thick steaks and luscious racks of ribs these days.
While ribs can be intimidating even for seasoned grillmeisters, we’ve got a few tips to make you the envy of every friend with a Webber.
If you want ribs so tender the meat falls off the bone, don’t be afraid to look beyond the grill. Cook the ribs most of the way in a pressure cooker, then finish them up with a brush of sauce and throw them on the grill for that smokey flavor we all love.
The key to making your meat flavorful is the dry rub. Whether or not you choose to finish the ribs with BBQ sauce, the dry rub will give you more intense flavor.
BBQ sauce isn’t obligatory so don’t be afraid to try something different. Instead, use your own sauce recipe, or try an international themed rack with an Asian theme. Imagine teriyaki on the grill. Yum!
When it comes to the cooking, keep the temperature low and cook the ribs longer. This goes for a smoker or oven; ribs are best when cooked at 300 degrees or lower.
