Retirees with annuities experience reduced financial stress and increased longevity, according to a study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research. The study, which analyzed data from about 600,000 Chilean retirees, shows a 2.55% reduction in mortality over five years and a 3.62% reduction over 10 years among annuity holders. The study also notes that annuitants are more likely to invest in healthcare and report fewer disabilities. PlanAdviser (7/8)
